Review: After We Collided by Anna Todd

Title: After We Collided

Author: Anna Todd

Series: Book 2

Genres: Young Adult, Romance, College Romance

I kind of hate this book and I hate that it keeps me bringing me back to it. ITS ADDICTING. No I am not going to stop reading this series and yes I am definitely going to finishing all these LONG books that are basically all about the same thing : Tessa and Hardin's toxic love story. To make the plot summary short, if you read the first book of this series be prepared for more of the same. Same fights, same sexy scenes and more immaturity on both ends of the relationship. However, if you were just as addicted as me to the first story you will enjoy this second installment as well.

One of the things I enjoyed the most was seeing Hardin mold himself into more of a man. I feel that he communicated better with Tessa and he was really trying to see the relationship improve. However, there are clear issues that Hardin has not dealt with and I really can't wait for the next books where I am hoping that his issues will be more developed and taken care of.

Now, the main thing that bothered me in this book was Tessa. I still don't like her, I find her annoying. I find that everything that she does would hinder the relationship. I also hate the fact that the movie painted her as a saint when the one that was damaging the relationship the most was her. What she did with Hardin's friend was unacceptable and I understand that they're both damaged but they seriously need to work on themselves. I understand why they keep coming back to each other and I love that they do but both need to take 3,000mg of chill pills.

Lastly, a scene I really enjoyed was Hardin's mother coming to visit. I feel that it made us relate to Hardin and the love he has for his mother and it made the whole ordeal with his issue easier to bear.

“Just because he can't love you the way you want him to doesn't mean he does't love you with everything he has.”
